Iraklia is an amazing Greek island and the most meridional of the Small Cyclades Islands.
This island has only one road 8 km long that stretches for 18 km and it counts only 115 people.
If you spend your holiday on this wonderful island, you will probably end being friend with all of them!
Like the other Small Cyclades, those who go on holiday to Iraklia seek peace and tranquility, a holiday in the name of walks and deserted beaches, a place where you can really pull the plug, disconnect and immerse yourself in the Greek atmosphere made of real and genuine traditions!
We recommend you to visit the Cave of the sacred icon of Agios Giannis, which is about 2 hours walk. Legend says that the cave ends on the island of Ios!
On August 28th, a religious ceremony is celebrated lit only by candles… something really unique!
You will only find 2 villages, Panagia and Agios Georgios. You will have to choose between many beaches, however the most famous is Livadi, a beautiful sandy beach with a clear blue sea.
There is only an asphalted 4.5km road that links the port with Chora or Panagia.
Agios Georgios is a nice complex of houses, few shops and Greek taverns, a supermarket and a small travel agency where to buy your ferry ticket.
If you are searching for peace and silence, even in the middle of August, this is your island!
