Welcome to Mykonos, the most famous Greek island in the world!
Even it is a very small island, measuring only 85 sq km but its fame has really made it the most famous among the Cyclades.
Mykonos Airport has connections to many European cities so every summer millions of visitors from all over the world land on this island, dreaming a wonderful holiday!
The beaches are all beautiful, there are 25 of them, those on the north coast are famous for nudists and for being quieter.
In the southern part of the island, the most incredible clubs begin to broadcast music with their DJs playing until dawn, dancing on the beach under the stars.
Chora, the main city, is of disarming beauty. You will get lost in the white alleys, lined with elegant and chic shops and restaurants. Sip your drink romantically in Little Venice, where the houses built overlooking the sea remember Venice.
Here you can drink a cocktail waiting for the sunset, while on your left rise the wonderful 5 Windmills, an icon that has become famous all over the world.
This small town has 2 ports and some wonderful churches, including the beautiful Church of Paraportiani, near the port, which dates back to the 16th century.
But the real charm of Chora is the unique and magical atmosphere that you can breathe in every corner, where incredible views open up to offer you unforgettable images.
The nightlife in Chora comes alive after midnight among the different bars and trendy clubs, including the famous Skandinavian and the transgressive Jacky’O which is also located on the beach of Super Paradise.
During the 1960s Mykonos became famous for the international jet set, recalling princes and countess from all over the world every summer.
To date, it is one of the most sought-after destinations for entrepreneurs, footballers and Hollywood stars.
There are two types of tourists: those looking for 5-star hotels and spectacular villas, fabulous locations with unbridled luxury and Cycladic design.
if you search fun and trendy clubs, and the holiday begins only after the aperitif, as in the famous Paradise and Super Paradise, the two best known beaches in the world!
For those who want to see something different, we recommend the small village of Ano Mera, about 8 km from Chora.
A picturesque village, with a lovely square and a wonderful church.
Finally, for those looking for beaches, you are spoilt for choice. The ideal is to rent a car or moped, or move with the bus and taxis.
During the summer the island can be reached at any time of day and night. You can go to Platy Gialos, to the south, a small bay perfect for families, with beautiful hotels and restaurants.
Paradise Beach, the most famous Greek beach in the world, perfect for those who love nightlife and music and Super Paradise Beach also this very famous place to dance until dawn.
They are 2 beautiful beaches, as well as very famous for their music!
Paraga, in the southerners point of Mykonos, beautiful beach with restaurants and beach bars and an incredible blue sea.
Near Chora you can go to Ornos, a very nice beach to the south with restaurants and beach bars, often the most sheltered from meltemi.
Agios Stefanos, which is located a few km north of Chora, perfect for families, with a calm and shallow sea.
We also suggest Megali Ammos, a few steps from the center, free beach perfect for those looking for some relaxation in Chora.
To the south you can go to Kalo Livadi, along sandy beach, and Kalafatis, famous for surfers and those who want to practice water sports.
It is one of the longest beaches in Mykonos and the least frequented, so great for those looking for some peace.
For those who love windsurfing, it is better to go to north, to Ftelia, perfect beach for waves and wind!
Also, in the northern part of the island we recommend Agio Sostis and Panormos that have become famous in recent years, you can do nudism if you want and are among the few partially unequaled beaches.
At least once in your life you must treat yourself to a holiday in Mykonos, the island that never sleeps and that will conquer you with its beauty and Greek charm!
Finally, worth a visit is the wonderful island of Delos, an open-air museum with its 2000 years of history, a real paradise on Greek soil…. but that’s another story.
